"Your bow tie can assume any form you want, from the conservative pout to the boastful swagger. Despite any unfounded rumors you may have heard, tying a bow is as easy as tying your shoe." -Carrot & Gibbs bow-tying guide Announcing: The Cambridge Bow Tie Bike Ride! .... and the Lil' Bow Tie Ride for children and families Sunday, October 2nd, 2005 Ever notice that the city of Cambridge is shaped like a bow tie? Come see for yourself, at the Cambridge Bow Tie Ride! Join us for 16 scenic miles by bike, as we circle our fair city's Western perimeter, "tie the knot" in the center of Cambridge, then loop around the Eastern border. This will be a gorgeous Autumn ride, at an easy pace on mostly level terrain. All are invited to untie with us post-ride at Lechmere Canal Park (behind the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall), where food and drinks will be provided by the Harvest Co-op Market. We will return to Cambridge Common after refreshments. The Lil' Bow Tie 6-mile ride for children and families links to Harvard Square Oktoberfest. Both bike rides meet at 10:15am at Cambridge Common. Rides depart at 10:30am. Rain date: Sunday October 9th, with same departure time. Wear a bow tie, or come as you are! Ride Advertising Flier (please print out and post!) Map
