The terrazzo floor in the lobby depicts the entire Cambridge water system. The water distribution starts at the Cambridge Common, which includes a link to the MWRA, just in case.

Water from Fresh Pond (fed by aquaduct from the Cambridge Reservoir in Waltham) is purified and pumped to the covered Payson Park reservoir in Belmont, which feeds the distribution point at the Cambridge Common

This water column represents the location of the Payson Park reservior. The column is said to react when the water fountain outside is used

There are thirteen bronze manhole covers throughout the City, each with a different water-related image. The locations are indicated on this map. Happy treasure hunting!
