The Second Annual
Cambridge Bow Tie Bike Ride!

Sunday October 8th, 2006

Orientation at 10:15am at Cambridge Common; ride departs at 10:30am

"Your bow tie can assume any form you want, from the conservative pout to the boastful swagger. Despite any unfounded rumors you may have heard, tying a bow is as easy as tying your shoe." -Carrot & Gibbs bow-tying guide

Ever notice that the city of Cambridge is shaped like a bow tie? Come see for yourself, at the Cambridge Bow Tie Ride!

Last fall's ride was such a delight, we're going to tie one on again this fall. Join us for 16 scenic miles by bike, as we circle our fair city's Western perimeter, tie the knot in the center of Cambridge, then loop around the Eastern border. This will be a gorgeous Autumn ride, at an easy pace on mostly level terrain. All are invited to untie with us post-ride at Lechmere Canal Park (behind the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall), where food and drinks will be provided by a generous sponsor. We will return to Cambridge Common after refreshments. For those looking for a shorter ride, the half-a-loop option ends near Harvard Square where Oktoberfest will be in full swing.

Rain date: Sunday October 15th, with same departure time. Rain announcements will be posted here on the morning of the ride.

Like all our tours, this ride is free of charge. Wear a bow tie, or come as you are!
